The team behind Battle of the Best is a group of lifelong dance enthusiasts who share a passion for performance, competition, and creating unforgettable experiences for dancers and their families.

Our journey began in 2002, when we started organizing dance and cheer contests under the name Best of the Best Grand Championships. It ran for a number of years before life took us in different directions with our young and growing families.

What began as a love for bringing talented dancers together grew into years of experience producing events, working with studios, coaches, performers, judges, and families, and seeing firsthand what makes a competition truly memorable.

More than two decades later, we decided it was time to take that experience and create something new.

Best of the Best has been reimagined as Battle of the Best—a destination talent contest designed to combine high-level competition with an experience families can enjoy together.

Hosted at SeaWorld San Antonio, Battle of the Best brings dancers from across the nation together for an exciting multi-day event where talented teams and soloists can take the stage, compete for recognition and cash prizes, and create memories beyond the competition floor.

We want dancers to feel celebrated, coaches to feel appreciated, and families to leave with more than trophies and awards. From the excitement of competition to enjoying SeaWorld together, Battle of the Best was created to be an experience worth traveling for. No studio/school affiliation required.

After more than 20 years in the competitive world, we are excited to begin this next chapter—and we can’t wait to welcome dancers, studios, coaches, and families to Battle of the Best.
